British Jr.+ Head & Combo

This new model replaces the Perplex'd Jr. 15 AND the '69/70 Jr. models series. Still Class A single ended EL34 package of 15 watts, but with the SS Loop and slight tweaks, the amps character steers toward the new name. The wider range of the Gain switch really gets you from old-school M style to hot-rodded. The controls run 'in line' right across the full length because of a new custom chassis.
The Clean channel, VTB, is designed after another British style amp that is cathode biased, and in this latest version is more organic, sounding rich when cranked into slight distortion range since the design is to keep as much clean headroom as possible.
Model is true point to point wired.
The Master is designed to be ‘extremely’ smooth, coming on slow and linear all the way.
Don’t let the 15 watts fool you – this amp through a 4×12 kicks! Cleans are exceptional with your guitar volume rollback on the Lead channel too ! The combo version is essentially the same as the head. It comes with either a Celestion Greenback or a G12H30 if more volume is needed. The cab is open back, filling the room and cutting through a mix exceptionally well.
SPECS British Jr.+ - $1999 USD (HEAD) British Jr.+ - $2349 USD (COMBO)

PERPLEX'D S2

The Perplex’d S2 has 2 "completely" independent channels, to the point of different voltages applied to each to control the midrange and character of distortion.
The Clean/Crunch channel has a 2 pos. Gain switch plus 3 way Bright switch.
The Drive channel is designed to crunch/growl/sustain with clarity and rawness if desired because of the separate 'Attack' control designated to it. Shaped to produce harmonic overtones easier (less vintage than S3) with a pushed midrange. 3 way Bright switch plus Texture switch for tightness make it very versatile.
SPECS S2 - $2599 USD

PERPLEX'D S3
New version !

The Perplex’d S3 has 3 INDEPENDENT channels. Each channel now has their own set of tone and volume controls ! (as of December 2020) There is NO compromise between Distortion channels since they can be dialed in with their own tone controls and Gains and Masters. Plus, just like the S2, there is separate voltages on these channels to suit their designated purposes. Although, the S3 Lead channel is voiced somewhat more vintage than the S2 model Lead channel, keeping the Lead and Crunch channels balanced. Add to this a 3 way Bright switch on their Gain controls to further help in balancing them or adding 'bite' to each separately.
The GLOBAL section has a Master / Presence / Depth control, with a 2 way switch for Presence cap - letting you decide if you want classic British value or a value that works more like a Raw control - pushing the overall frequencies 'more alive' jumping out of the speaker cabinet. (similar to the Attack control on the S2)
The Clean channel has a lot of headroom with Volume / Treble / Bass controls, balancing nicely with the Distortion channels, keeping the same flavour.
SPECS S3 - $2799 USD
THREE CHANNELS - Clean, Crunch, Lead *All foot switchable*

MORRIS MUSCLE '69/70
MORRIS MUSCLE '69/70LV
MORRIS MUSCLE '69/70LV

MM '69/70 is a take on our modded '69/70 Marshall tremolo head - and is single channel with SS FX Loop. It has two Input jacks - LOW is a stock Bright channel of a 4 input - with a Master - which when turned up basically takes it out of circuit making the amp equal to a normal 4 input perfect for cranking up into reactive load boxes .... to get full output stage distortion. The HIGH input adds another gain stage that together with the Master Volume lets you get all the way to California style crunch, at any level you desire for live playing.
The difference in this amp compared to my Perplex'd models - is -
1) The higher voltage applied to the output tubes and preamp, giving it a full 50 watts and different character. 2) The range the Bass and Depth controls can be pulled out for those players who never seem to get enough bass cut. You can still get the full fatness and thump of the Perplex'd series amps - just more 'cut' if desired. 3) The LV model drops the output stage voltage but keeps the preamp voltage the same to not affect the character. It gets a bit of JTM45 vibe added. The LV version uses a different power transformer.
SPECS MM '69/70 - $2199 USD

XS III

The XSIII is an 85 watt beast. What makes it unique, besides the exclusive Mercury Magnetics output transformer, is the
TWO Gain controls on the Hi-Gain Channel. One is set up for Bright Crunch and the other for Fat Drive, allowing you to tailor the tightness and fullness, giving it wide flexibility. This amp can be smooth or aggressive! The Clean/Grind channel can do just what it says - making a full bore cranked stack character or a sweet clean - your choice. Described this way - ''it's got some sponge ... not stiff or strident ... but at the same time super tight on the bottom end ... super open .. but compresses perfectly at the same time ... it is aggressive but also warm and sweet in the overdrive''.

GRINDER

This final version of the GRINDER has 2 independent Channels with 3 way Bright Switches.
Both the Clean and Grind channels are take from the famous Blackface era, with the distortion channel sporting 4 gain stages. Don't be fooled though - it still cleans up just as well as all Morris gain designs with your guitar volume.
The cleans are just as pretty as any 60's North American amp, with the rectifier tube giving just the right amount of cushion.

SIRROM
The SIRROM is the tightest most aggressive amp we make. Metal playing is not a problem, or dropped tuning, but can still feel more organic than most amps of this style. The uniqueness of this amp is the way the distortion character (amount of) stays the same no matter what level you play at. It does not 'clear' up as you get louder, nor does it get 'more' as you lower the gain. But it still cleans up with your guitar volume control fairly well. The Master is a separate entity of it's own. The Low Input (single channel only) bypasses a gain stage for a more Classic rock character. For the 2 Channel we lose this input to have room for the Clean channels Volume / Master / Treble / Bass controls, while adding a 2 way Gain Switch to the Distortion channel.

'68 Brownout

The idea for this amp came from cloning a 1968 Plexi I owned, then using a Variac turned it down until the sound I wanted was achieved. All the voltages were measured and a power transformer with those voltages was installed. The result is plugging the amp straight into the 120VAC wall socket gives what a Variac turned down would. Eliminating the need for the Variac. In addition a 3 way Bright Switch was installed on the Loudness 1 control. Center position is off (no bright cap) - Left is my normal bright cap on all amps - Right is the original value that was on the '68 (.0047uf). Turning this amp up to 8, so the bright cap still has an effect on sound, gives it the famous aggression these amps are known for. With the custom Mercury Magnetics output transformer it works exceptionally well with 'reactive load attenuators' - with or without re-amp power built in. Because of this there is NO MASTER volume of any type in the amp.

MO-JO

The original Mo-Jo was a single channel, clear, simple hand wired amp that was designed specifically for Joe Perry of Aerosmith. It is loud and was pushing a Marshall(tm) 8×10 cab on its first tour and then 4×12 cabs for the second leg and 3 world tours. So it is at home with 10s or 12s and is specifically geared towards Greenbacks.
Model is true point to point wired.
The MAC (Master Attenuation Circuit) was put in to tame the volume this amp can achieve, allowing you to get the same richness at much more controllable levels. Unlike using an outboard attenuator the MAC does not introduce any grit or un-natural colouration to the original sound. This amp can be a great pedal format, taking overdrives and fuzzes equally well, or can be set up highly overdriven itself and cleaned up exceptionally well with your guitar volume.
* Please note - this amp is not designed for an FX Loop as it will take away from the purity of the amp *
SPECS Mo-Jo - $2249 USD

VTR 10

Described as having an M type bottom but V mids and top end along with a luscious compression that doesn’t hide the articulateness of your attack but adds bloom.
The VTR has a new feature of 'FULL 15 WATT setting'! Due to the unique power supply you can now choose between a Choke pi Filter or a resistor pi Filter. This controls the voltage applied to the overall amp and adjusts the power out. Originally as a 10 watt amp it now can produce 15 watts RMS for more headroom. And the output stage still runs in it's same design - keeping the tone and character the same! The Half Power switch has been re-designed in a very unique way, producing half output of whichever the WATTS switch is set at. Example ; 15 WATT setting with Half Power equals 7.5 watts out. Obviously then 10 WATT setting with Half Power equals 5 watts out.
Add to all this a two setting GAIN Switch plus a FAT switch makes this one of the most versatile single channel amps made !!
For the guitarist that just wants to ROCK out - putting a 12AX7 tube in the driver/phase inverter stage puts this amp 'over the top'!
Model is true point to point wired.
Tailored for a sweet fat tone that works exceptionally well with single coil guitars as well.
* Please note - this amp is not designed for an FX Loop as it will take away from the purity of the amp *
