This is it !!  THE most versatile Tweed you've been looking for !!  The inspiration came from my 4-10 original '55 Bassman i gigged for years. The older Bassman and the Low Power Tweed Twin are close to identical just running a different speaker setup. To get the best of both I loaded this amp with an Alnico 12" and an Alnico 10".   Often times in the clubs I would have to turn my old amp around with the speakers facing the wall because of the volume and cut it would produce. The beauty of the old tweeds were that after they ran out of clean headroom they didn't really get louder - they just got more distorted !  Which meant you could run on that rich crossover point of picking light and you were clean and picking hard you were getting rich breakup.  I always wished the original amp was a little more volume friendly, so I went to work cutting off 3db of overall volume by lowering voltage inside to produce less wattage without loosing the clean clarity. Once I found the right speakers (which had held me back from making a Tweed for so long) I worked on making it much more versatile.
1) The amps power can be controlled - firstly by running a GZ34/5AR4 Rectifier for a full 26 watts in fixed bias mode.
Or, you can drop the power to 21 watts with a 5U4GB rectifier.
Finally,  it is set up to take a 5Y3 giving you around 16 watts RMS - which means clean wattage before signal breakup.
2) On TOP of this you have a Switch to choose between Fixed bias as the original,  or,  Cathode bias like a Tweed Deluxe for instance !
*Using a 5Y3 and Cathode bias setting* will give you the character of a Tweed Deluxe only bigger sounding as if you were using two together with the added benefit of Treble / Bass / Presence.
*the unique feature of this is that you can use it with ALL rectifier tubes giving a combination of 'in-between' wattage ratings.

3) To put us over the top I have internally connected the Bright Volume and Normal Volume controls. You can blend them to your taste. One being brighter and one fuller sounding. And each can be used independently.
4) ** By doing extensive research, instead of using an outboard attenuator (which never seem to work well with lower powered amps) to get you down to even -12db you can use a VARIAC !!  You WILL NOT hurt the tubes and can run for years at even 75VAC on the Variac. ** On the MORRIS AMPS YouTube channel you can see demonstrations of using a Variac.   (There is lots of myths on the internet, and fortunately the one of ruining yours tubes is one)
