Designed to fill the need for some pro MORRIS players that are required to play fly-in gigs and wanted to make sure they had 'their' sound and not use backline amps that weren't always up to par. The amp had to be powerful enough to cut through on a loud stage and versatile enough to produce a wide variety of tonalities at any level. 30 watts was chosen with a fairly tight power supply, and the Clean channel was designed to get the full 30 watts before breakup.
Due to the headroom the Clean channel had, an extremely transparent sounding Master for the distortion channel was designed that made it quite difficult to tell, especially when at low volume, that the amp was not cranked. It is due in part to the circuit before it creating a slight 'unbalanced' character that a cranked output stage would have when the control is low - and opening up as you turn the Master louder.
Since the 'look' of this amp strayed from the normal MORRIS design, a new name was chosen. Hence - WHITE CROW . The 'Old School' designation came from the 30 watt rating using slightly lower power supply voltage, creating a nice warm vintage sound.
The amp is purchased direct only at this moment.
