These sound clips were done by me (Glen) and/or my sons in my back workshop. I have never found that just sticking a Shure SM57 in front of a speaker ever really gave me a good representation of what the amp was like. What I wanted to capture was the actual sound and character/feel that I heard and felt as I was playing. I believe that these clips are very good representations of what I heard in the shop. Obviously, the speakers that people use to listen to these will be different, but the comments I am getting tell me that these work for most. I also wanted to show the versatility of the amps and how much they let the hands of the player, the guitar and the speaker show through. The clips were captured on a Yamaha MD8 recorder, with a bit of reverb added on a few tracks for a bit of ambience. I have tried to cover a fair amount of styles on these - so please don't stop at one on a certain amplifier - the next one could be a totally different experience. Enjoy.
